We discussed the about plugins, what they are, how to install, activate, deactivate and delete them. We also created a menu and added different types of links to the menu. And finally, we learnt how to customize our theme.
Workshop 1
Organize your menu to carry the following pages
- Home
- About
- Services
- Contact
Add a custom menu item titled “More” to the primary menu.
Add 3 child-menus to the custom menu item
Reposition the menu item to be the last on the list
Workshop 2
Customize your theme and set a home page
Create a new page titled Blog, and ensure that the slug is “blog”
From theme customizer, set the page as your Blog Posts page
Delete the custom menu item titled “More” and it’s children. Remember you created this in workshop 1.
Add the Blog Page to the menu
Reposition the Blog Page menu item to be before “contacts”
At the end, your menu should look like this:

- About
- Services
- Blog
- Contact
